One of the main tourist attractions in Thurso, the building looks at mankind's past and present interaction with the environment of northern Scotland. The period covered is quite extensive with fossil fish from the Devonian period, a bronze age stone ball and Pictish carvings. The museum covers a range of areas including Natural History, Social & Industrial History, Archaeology and Geology.
Monday - Saturday 10am - 6pm
April and September: Sunday 11am - 4pm
Caithness Horizons is closed on Sunday from October - March
