Dunnottar Castle has one of the most stunning locations of any of the many castles in Scotland. The ruins of the castle are spread over 3 acres of land and it is situated on a steep cliff face with buildings dating back as early as the 13th century. The castle has a rich history with famous past figures such as William Wallace and Mary Queen of Scots being past visitors.
