The museum opened back in 1871 and the building was designed by a well respected architect named John Honeyman. The museum is home to a great collection of art and lots of information on the local area. There are also temporary exhibits which change throughout the year and an Observatory which is one of only 4 public observatories in Scotland.

Tuesday - Saturday (and public holidays) 11am - 4pm
Sunday 2pm - 5pm
