Scapa Flow Visitor Centre & Museum
Skapa Flow is one of the best known attractions in Orkney and it is one of the best know harbours in the world. It was here that 74 ships of the German Fleet of World War I were scuttled following the signing of the peace treaty of Versailles to prevent them falling into British Hands.
This has led to the area becoming popular with divers who can actually enter some of the wrecks. The visitor centre at Skapa Flow tells of the history of the area and includes a number of interactive displays.
