Stromness Museum

The museum has been welcoming visitors since 1837 and it looks at Orkneys Natural History and Maritime past. There are some artefacts from the Scuttled German fleet of Scapa Flow and a large photo achieve. The natural history display is quite impressive and you can also learn how to survive in the Artic with displays on Sir John Franklin, Dr John Rae and the Arctic Whalers.
