Stirling and Perthshire
Crieff was upon till the 1770's best known for its cattle market where highlanders used to visit here frequently and at one time there was thought to be around 10 cows to every person living in the village.

It is now relys on tourism and whisky, with the world's oldest distillery at Glenturret being in the town. Some of Scotland's most famous historical figures have associations with the town from Rob Roy coming to sell cattle many times and Bonnie Prince Charlie visited in 1746 when he held his final war council here.
